The Florida Gators are 11-5 on the season but just 1-2 in SEC play after losing each of their first two SEC contests this season. On Saturday, the Gators got into the win column in league play with a 90-68 one-sided win over Ole Miss at home. Riley Kugel led the way with a game-high 20 points off the bench for the Gators. Kugel was 8-of-14 from the field including 2-of-3 from long-range. He also grabbed five rebounds and two steals in the game as the Gators broke their brief two-game losing streak. Tyrese Samuel and Will Richard stepped up as well with Samuel getting a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds while Richard chipped in with 13 points.

“It felt good to be out there with the guys,” Kugel said. “It definitely is a confidence-booster, for sure. Just being out there, playing with the team, getting the groove back is all you can really ask for.”

The Gators are hoping to even their SEC record 2-2 with an upset win over the fifth-ranked Volunteers on Tuesday night. Florida comes in with a dynamic offense, ranked sixth in the nation in scoring offense. They are 67th in field goal percentage and 186th in 3-point shooting. The Gators are just 255th in scoring defense this season. They come in at 96th in field goal defense and 195th in 3-point defense. The Gators are the #1 rebounding team in the country. They are just 261st in the nation in turnovers per game.
