The No. 23 Florida State Seminoles (3-0) square off against a fellow ACC foe when they host the No. 22 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (3-1) on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium.
In their last game, the Seminoles defeated the Boston College Eagles 44-14. The Demon Deacons are coming off of a 51-45 loss to the Clemson Tigers. Jordan Travis had 321 yards on 16-of-26 passing (61.5%) for the Noles in that matchup against the Eagles, with one touchdown and no interceptions. Trey Benson totaled 78 rushing yards on 10 carries (7.8 yards per carry), scoring two touchdowns on the ground. He added one catch for six yards. Darion Williamson had 98 yards on five catches (19.6 per reception) in that game. Sam Hartman notched 337 passing yards while going 20-for-29 with six touchdowns and no interceptions for the Deacs against the Tigers. In that matchup, Justice Ellison had a 21-carry, 73-yard game (3.5 yards per attempt). He also added one reception for 22 yards . Jahmal Banks caught six passes on eight targets for 141 yards (23.5 yards per reception), and scored two touchdowns.
The Seminoles are favored by 7 points over the Demon Deacons. The total is set at 65.5 points.
