The Florida State Seminoles (5-3, 5-3 ATS, 4-4 O/U) battle the Miami Florida Hurricanes (4-4, 1-7 ATS, 3-5 O/U) in an ACC rivalry showdown on Saturday night. The Seminoles routed Georgia Tech in their previous action. The Hurricanes were able to earn a wild overtime road win against Virginia last week. Florida State recorded a 31-28 home win against Miami Florida last season.

The Florida State Seminoles are looking to secure bowl eligibility. They are at five wins and need one more to get to the six-win benchmark. Florida State has confidence after snapping a three-game losing streak in their latest action. They were mammoth 24-point favorites in a 41-16 home win against Georgia Tech last week to improve to 3-3 in conference play. The Seminoles have covered the spread in two out of their last three games. 

Jordan Travis is clicking. The junior QB accumulated a remarkable 396 passing yards against GT last week. The junior QB has attempted at least 30 passes in four straight games and now has 2057 passing yards accompanied by a 14:3 TD to INT ratio. 

FSU continues to run frequently. Treshaun Ward has surpassed 100 yards twice this season and leads t he squad with 488 rushing yards on an average of 6.8 yards per rush. Troy Benson recorded 111 rushing yards last week and has accrued 483 yards on the year. Johnny Wilson is a big threat in the air. The sophomore WR eclipsed 100 receiving yards last week and is up to a season total of 603 receiving yards. The Florida State offense has surpassed 30 points on four occasions this season. 

The Seminoles' defense has been inconsistent. They have allowed over 30 points three times this season including 34 points in the loss to Clemson. Last week they were solid, holding GT to only 265 total yards. The pass defense is among the best, ranking 13th overall while the rush defense is 70th. Florida State is scoring an average of 32.1 points on the season, placing them 49th. The defense is limiting opponents to 21.9 points, good for 37th in the FBS.
