An ACC battle in the state of Florida takes place on Wednesday night when the Florida State Seminoles (10-6, 4-1 ACC) travel to take on the Miami Hurricanes (12-4, 3-2 ACC). Florida State just grabbed a strong road win over Notre Dame 67-58, covering as 1.5-point road favorites. Miami also won on the road, defeating Virginia Tech 75-71 as 1.5-point road underdogs. These teams split their meeting last season, with each team winning on the road. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 EST from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida and can be found on the ACC Network.

The ACC is always a competitive conference, and Florida State has been a surprise team near the top of the conference standings. The Seminoles are 4-1 in league play, tied with three other teams with the same record, and they all trail 5-0 North Carolina. FSU won three games at home over Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, then went on the road to defeat Notre Dame. They utilized a balanced scoring attack against the Irish, as they were led by guard Primo Spears with 13 points off the bench in the win.

Jamir Watkins is a 6'7 junior forward that leads the team in points, rebounds and assists. He averages 13.0 PPG, 5.9 RPG, and 3.3 APG. Watkins scored 12 against Notre Dame, and had a 19 point, nine assist game in the win over Wake Forest. Two big men split minutes inside, Cam Corhen is a 6'10 sophomore scoring 8.4 PPG and Baba Miller is a 6'11 sophomore adding another 7.8 PPG.

Florida State is currently ranked 87th in the nation according to KenPom. They rank 123rd in offensive efficiency and 62nd in defensive efficiency. The Seminoles play fast on offense, they have the 53rd fastest tempo in the country based on their pace of play.
