Florida State at Miami Prediction – Basketball Picks 2/25/23

The Florida State Seminoles will head down to South Beach to face the Miami Hurricanes in ACC play from Florida State leads the all-time series, 47-31, after winning nine of the last ten matchup, but Miami did win the latest meeting in Tallahassee last month by 23 points.

Florida State fell to 8-20 following a home loss to Boston College. The Seminoles nearly rallied back after a double digit halftime deficit, but they ended up losing to the Eagles by six, 75-69. Florida State scores 69.6 points per game, while allowing 76.3 ppg, and shooting 43.4% from the field.

Florida State has dropped their last four games, and they may just be in for more of the same when they make the trip to Miami.  The Noles are 6-11 in ACC play, with a 3-6 road record. Leader scorer and rebounder Matthew Cleveland has missed the last two games, and if he misses this one, the likelihood of a blowout rises.  Junior guard Caleb Mills (13.0 ppg, 3.5 apg) stepped up in his absence with a season high 27 points against BC, but he’ll have a tough time replicating that effort here against the Hurricanes.
