Florida State at Miami-FL – 11/5/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

Florida State will head south and take on Miami for some rivalry football. Once one of the most prominent rivalries in college football, the Noles and the Canes have crossed paths over 65 times, even fitting meeting in the 2004 Orange Bowl. Miami leads the all-time series 35-31, but Florida State won last year's meeting in Tallahassee, 31-28.

Florida State improved to 5-3 after defeating Georgia Tech at home in Week 9. The Seminoles snapped a three-game losing streak with a dominant win over the Yellow Jackets, massively outgaining them 642-264. Florida State scores 32.7 points per game, while passing for 277.5 yards per game (35th), and rushing for 209.6 ypg (37th). The Seminole defense allows 21.8 points per game.

Jordan Travis is starting to put it together here in his third year behind center. The junior quarterback enjoyed one of the best outings of his career versus GT, tossing for a season-high 396 yards and three touchdowns. Travis played well versus three of the ACC’s premier teams, and he’s going to give the Canes trouble here. Travis has thrown for 2,057 passing yards with 14 touchdowns to three interceptions, and he’s ran for 215 rushing yards and two scores through eight starts this season.
