Florida St. at No. 14 NC State Odds, Prediction for Week 6

Last time out, Florida State hosted #22 Wake Forest and suffered a disappointing 31-21 defeat. The Seminoles jumped out to a 7-0 first quarter lead, but Wake Forest went on a 28-0 run between the first and third quarters to make it 28-7 midway through the third quarter. The Seminoles scored 14 unanswered points to make it a one possession game, but the Demon Deacons hit a field goal late to put the game on ice.

I'll say this, it does look like Florida State this season is making progress towards becoming the program they were a decade ago. They still have a ways to go, but they have been competitive, and they were even ranked last week at No. 23. It has been baby steps each year with this school, and it looks like they have reached the stage where they are walking and not crawling.

Defensively, the Seminoles allowed 405 total yards and did not force any Wake Forest turnovers, so they have work to do on that side of the ball, but the offense showed some grit.
