The Florida Panthers face the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game Two of the Second Round. The Panthers took the first game of the series 4-2 and can take a commanding series lead with another win on the road in the upcoming game. The Maple Leafs tied up Game One 2-2 but stumbled late in the game and lost by two goals. The Panthers hope to take a 2-0 series lead back to Florida while the Maple Leafs hope to even up the series and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Panthers stole Game One on the road with their offense building off a strong First Round where they scored 26 goals, scoring four in the first game of the series. Matthew Tkachuk, Sam Bennett, and Aleksander Barkov scored a goal and six assists in the game and 10 goals and 19 assists in the playoffs but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Nick Cousins, Anthony Duclair, and Carter Verhaeghe have combined for two goals and one assist and five goals and 12 assists in the playoffs while defenseman Brandon Montour has added six goals and three assists including a goal in Game One from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has carried the Panthers but the defense also stepped up in Game One, allowing only two goals including putting together a scoreless third period to close out the game. Gustav Forsling and Aaron Ekblad have led the top line while Brandon Montour, Radko Guda s, and Marc Staal have added depth to the unit, casting turnovers near the net and limiting shooting lanes. Additionally, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was remarkable in Game One, saving 34 of the 36 shots he faced.
