Florida Panthers (11-9-4) vs. Seattle Kraken (15-5-3)

The 2022-23 NHL betting action continues Saturday with this interconference battle when the Florida Panthers take on the Seattle Kraken at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Seattle enters this contest as the hottest team in the NHL, winning their seventh straight game when they defeated the Washington Capitals in overtime on Thursday, 3-2. Florida had dropped the first two contests of their five-game road trip but earned a 5-1 victory over Vancouver on Thursday. These teams have met just twice all time, with the Kraken winning both contests.

The Florida Panthers (11-9-4, 7-17 ATS) scored three goals in the span of 59 seconds to defeat the Vancouver Canucks, 5-1. The victory snapped a three-game road losing streak and the team is 5-7-1 on the road this year. Sam Bennett scored two goals for the Panthers.

“We've gotten off to pretty good leads in the last few weeks, but I thought we did a great job of not just holding on to it, but building off it,” Matthew Tkachuk said. “We didn't sit back, we didn't sit on a lead. They had their pushes in the second, they had it in the third, but we did a great job of kind of giving it right back to them in the sense of playing more in their zone, having more shots, more chances.”

Spencer Knight made 32 saves in the victory, moving his record to 7-3-3 with a 2.61 GAA and a .919 save percentage. Florida is 21st in goals allowed per game (3.38), but Knight has clearly been outplaying Sergei Bobrovsky (4-6-1, 3.84, .878). Florida is 10th in goals scored per game (3.42), but it has been the goaltending on the road that has been a problem. The one goal allowed against Vancouver snapped a streak of 11 straight games where they had allowed at least three goals.
