The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles and Central Arkansas Bears face off on Monday in a college basketball showdown at the Farris Center. When these two teams faced off last February it was FGCU that won 95-93 in overtime.
FGCU comes into this game with an 11-3 record and they have gone 8-5 against the spread. On Saturday against Jacksonville they gave up only 65 points, and that led to the seven point victory. Zach Anderson had a strong game finishing with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Florida Gulf Coast is averaging 72.5 points while their defense is giving up 66.4 points per game. On the other side of this matchup is Central Arkansas who sits with a 5-9 record overall and they have gone 5-8 against the spread. In the last game against Kennesaw State, the defense gave up 82 points, and that led to the 16 point defeat. Camren Hunter finished with 14 points and six rebounds. Central Arkansas is averaging 72.9 points while their defense is giving up 80.4 points per game. Camren Hunter is averaging 16.1 points while shooting 38.7 percent from the field and 29.6 percent from behind the three point line.
