Florida Atlantic Owls (5-5) vs. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (5-5)

A couple of 5-5 teams lock horns Saturday, November 19, in the Conference USA showdown at Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, as the 2022 college football season goes on with Week 12 matchups.

The Florida Atlantic Owls square off against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, and the visitors are listed as 6-point favorites with a total of 51.0 points. Last year, the Blue Raiders upset the Owls 27-17 as 3.5-point road dogs, while the game went under a 49.5-point line.

The Florida Atlantic Owls (5-5; 5-5 ATS; 4-2 conf.) routed the Florida International Panthers 52-7 as 15.5-point road favorites in Week 11. After beating the UAB Blazers 24-17 as 4.5-point home dogs in Week 9, the Owls enjoyed a bye and prepared well for the Panthers battle. Florida Atlantic dropped 21 unanswered first-quarter points on Florida International and never looked back.

“I’m really excited about how the entire football team played,” FAU head coach Willie Taggart said. “I thought that was, by far, the best game we played this year as an entire unit. … I’m really excited because they took what our coaches gave them during the bye week and really came out here and executed it really well.”

Senior signal-caller N’Kosi Perry completed 14 of his 21 passing attempts for 104 yards and a couple of touchdowns last week. He also scored a pair of touchdowns on his own, while junior RB Larry McCammon posted 26 carries for 104 yards. The Owls racked up 281 rushing yards on 60 totes, keeping the ball in possession for nearly 33 minutes.

N’Kosi Perry now has 2,103 passing yards, 22 touchdown passes, and five interceptions on his season tally. He’s thrown for five touchdowns over the last two games and hasn’t been picked off since Week 6 and a 45-28 defeat at North Texas. The Owls’ offense ranks 51st in the country in points scored (30.5 per game) and 24th in rushing yards (201.6).&#x A0;
