Florida Atlantic (FAU) vs. Charlotte Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-4-2023

We have a Conference USA NCAA Men’s Basketball game on Saturday afternoon between the 19th-ranked Florida Atlantic Owls and the Charlotte 49ers taking place at the Dale F. Halton Arena. The Owls are 21-2 (11-1) so far and are are coming off an 86-77 road loss on Thursday against the UAB Blazers. The 49ers are 13-9 (4-7) currently and are on a two-game losing streak after a 57-54 home loss on Thursday against the Florida International Panthers. These programs faced off on Jan. 7 and the Owls picked up a 71-67 home win.

The Florida Atlantic Owls have been doing a very good job offensively this season as they are averaging 77.4 points while shooting a strong 46.2 percent from the field. They have been passing the ball well this season with 15 assists per game so far. Sophomore guard Johnell Davis has led the way for the Owls as he is averaging 13.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.1 blocks, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 turnovers in just 23.9 minutes per game.

Their defense has been doing very well on this side of the floor a bit as they are allowing 64.5 points per game up to this point. However, they are not forcing mistakes enough as they are averaging just 2.5 blocks and seven steals per game right now. If they can figure out how to get some more stops, they can get another winning streak going.
