Utah went 9-1 in Pac-12 last season. The Utes won the league’s South Division, then defeated Oregon in the Pac-12 title game before advancing to the Rose Bowl. Utah lost an entertaining 48-45 game to Ohio State in that New Year’s Day test in Pasadena, Calif. The Utes finished 10-4, and coach Kyle Whittingham and the men of Salt Lake City bring a lot of program momentum into 2022.

Florida is coming off a disappointing 6-7 season. The Gators went just 2-6 in SEC play. UF allowed 26.8 PPG, which marked the 2nd straight season the program finished 74th in NCAA-I scoring defense. The team’s troubles led to the dismissal of coach Dan Mullen. Saturday’s contest begins the Billy Napier administration in the Swamp.

Utah is No. 8 in the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
