The 49ers have lost 2 games in a row, falling at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6 and at home to the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday. The Chiefs made the win look easy, too, winning 44-23 thanks to 30 second-half points. The 49ers acquired RB Christian McCaffrey last week and he played Sunday in a somewhat of a limited role — 8 carries for 38 yards and 2 receptions for 24 yards. Expect him to get more touches against the Rams.
Los Angeles is coming off a bye for this division matchup at home. In the Rams’ last game, they beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in L.A. to snap a 2-game losing streak. The Rams lost their first meeting with the 49ers 24-9 back in Week 4 in Santa Clara. Los Angeles ranks 28th in points per game (17.3) this season.
