South Carolina should be rested after enjoying a bye week. The Gamecocks likely needed it as they’re set to open a tough stretch of their schedule with consecutive games against Ole Miss, No. 2 Alabama, No. 17 Oklahoma and No. 21 Texas A&M. The Gamecocks defeated Akron 50-7 as 24.5-point home favorites in their last outing (Sept. 21).
