The LA Chargers welcome the Las Vegas Raiders to SoFi Stadium Sunday. Kickoff in this Week 1 battle is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at Raiders vs. Chargers odds from FanDuel Sportsbook'before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.
The Chargers had a disappointing 2023 campaign, resulting in the 5th-overall pick. They took Notre Dame OT Joe Alt with that pick and selected Georgia WR Ladd McConkey in the 2nd round, strengthening their roster around QB Justin Herbert. Los Angeles should be a much improved side after finishing 21st in points per game (20.4) a season ago.
The Raiders also struggled in 2023. They brought in starting QB Gardner Minshew to ideally distribute the ball better this season. They also took Georgia TE Brock Bowers with the 13th-overall pick. Las Vegas finished 2nd in the AFC West in 2023, but did so behind a defense that allowed the 9th-fewest points per game (19.5). It’ll hope to improve its offense in 2024 with Bowers and Minshew.
