The Chiefs seem to love keeping things close, pulling out yet another tight win – this time a 22-17 victory over the Falcons in Atlanta. Kansas City covered as a 3-point favorite with the Under (46.5) cashing. QB Patrick Mahomes did his thing, throwing for 217 yards with 2 TDs and an interception. His top target was WR Rashee Rice, who pulled in 12 catches for 110 yards and a score.
The defense deserves plenty of credit, too. It completely shut down Falcons star RB Bijan Robinson, holding him to just 31 yards on 16 carries.
The Chargers suffered their 1st loss of the season, falling 20-10 as 2.5-point underdogs at the now 3-0 Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday. But the real gut punch was losing QB Justin Herbert, who left in the 3rd quarter after being sacked and was later spotted in a walking boot. Backup QB Taylor Heinicke stepped in, but the offense never clicked.
