First look: Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears odds and lines

The Carolina Panthers (1-3) travel to meet the Chicago Bears (2-2) for a Week 5 matchup at Soldier Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we look at Panthers vs. Bears odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.

The Panthers picked up their 1st victory of the season in Las Vegas against the Raiders in Week 3 after making the change to QB Andy Dalton. In Week 4, the Panthers were again in the losing column, but the offense was solid in a 34-24 loss as 4.5-point underdogs. The Over is 2-0 since Dalton took the reins of the offense.

The Bears scratched out a 24-18 win over the LA Rams, covering as 3-point favorites. Chicago is 2-0 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) in 2 home games so far this season. The Over (40.5) cashed against the Rams in Week 4, halting a 3-0 run to the Under to start the season.

These 2 trade partners meet for the 2nd time since their huge trade prior to the 2023 NFL Draft. That trade sent Carolina the No. 1 overall pick, which landed them QB Bryce Young, while Chicago acquired 1st- and 2nd-round picks in 2023 from the Panthers, as well as a 1st-round pick in 2024, which ended up being No. 1 overall. The Bears selected QB Caleb Williams with that pick. He is starting Sunday. Young is not.
