First look: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs odds and lines

The Baltimore Ravens and back-to-back defending champion Kansas City Chiefs open the 2024 NFL season Thursday. Kickoff from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC/Peacock). Below, we look at Ravens vs. Chiefs odds from BetMGM Sportsbook'before making our expert NFL picks and predictions later in the week.

Baltimore ended its 2023 campaign with a 17-10 home loss vs. Kansas City in the AFC Championship game. After QB'Lamar Jackson'won his 2nd NFL MVP award, the Ravens went out in the offseason and got some reinforcements in the form of RB Derrick Henry. Henry signed with the Ravens on a 2-year, $16-million contract in free agency.

Kansas City enters this season after winning back-to-back championships, beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in OT in Super Bowl LVIII. Kansas City lost a major defensive piece in CB L’Jarius Sneed, as he was traded to the Tennessee Titans in the offseason. However, the Chiefs were able to bring in some much-needed talent to the WR room with guys like Marquise “Hollywood” Brown'and rookie'Xavier Worthy.

The Chiefs (+500 at BetMGM Sportsbook) and Ravens (+1000) have the 1st- and 3rd-shortest odds to win the Super Bowl this season.
