Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg turned it on and never gave their opponents a chance, gifting us with a record-breaking 9 & 7 beat down of Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka. I really thought Koepka would play a huge role on Saturday, and it just didn't happen. The result reduced Scottie to tears.'
Team USA did turn things around – as best they could – in the afternoon, taking three points in three wins with Patrick Cantlay proving to be the hero they so desperately needed. A little bit of drama between Rory McIlroy and Joe LaCava, Cantlay's caddy, gave us some fireworks on the 18th green, that even ran over to the clubhouse as the Northern Irishman was leaving to head back to the team hotel. I can't wait to see how this is going to be received on the course on Sunday. Those fans have been passionate…and vocal!
