Seattle Seahawks QB Geno Smith begins his 2022 season as the official Week 1 starter. Smith beat out QB Drew Lock for the starting role, but few were surprised since Smith knows the offense after backing up Russell Wilson since 2020.
Smith, who hasn’t started Week 1 since 2014 when he was with the New York Jets, will lead a Seahawks team that most believe will win very few games. Tipico Sportsbook lists the Seahawks with odds of –200 to finish last in the NFC West.
