FanDuel posted a double-digit hold for the fourth consecutive week, according to the New York State Gaming Commission, while accounting for more than half of the $30.3 million in sports betting revenue among the state’s nine mobile operators.
Handle totaled $344.5 million for the week ending June 2, down 11.6% from the week ending May 26, and was the lowest amount since bettors wagered $312.8 million for the week ending Sep. 3. All-time handle via sports betting apps, though, did cross $45 billion.
The statewide hold for the week was 8.8%, down 2.9 percentage points from last week as revenue plummeted by 33.5%. All nine operators finished with positive revenue, which led to an estimated $15.4 million in tax receipts flowing into state coffers.
FanDuel Regains Weekly Top Spots
After being pipped by DraftKings to close out the final full week of May numbers, FanDuel regained the top spots for both weekly handle and revenue. It posted a 12% hold to reap $16.8 million in revenue from $139.9 million in handle as its all-time winnings in the Empire State surpassed $1.9 billion.
