Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Wildcard Edition
We have a Metro Atlantic Conference NCAA Men’s Basketball game on Sunday afternoon between the Fairfield Stags and the Saint Peter’s Peacocks. The Stags are struggling a bit as they are 6-10 (2-4) right now and are riding a three-game losing streak after a 75-69 road loss against the Iona Gaels on Friday. The Peacocks are 7-10 (2-6) so far and are on a four-game losing streak after a 58-51 road loss on Friday against the Quinnipiac Bobcats.
The Fairfield Stags have been a decent program offensively this season as they are averaging 65.3 points while shooting 39.8 percent from the floor. They should be passing the ball a little better this season with 10.1 assists per game up to this point. Junior forward Supreme Cook has been leading the way for the team as he is averaging 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.8 blocks, 0.3 steals, and 1.6 turnovers in 24.4 minutes per game.
Their defense has been doing well so far as they are allowing teams to score 65.8 points per game against them. They are doing a reasonable job at swiping the ball away as they are averaging 5.5 steals and 3.8 blocks. The Stags need to be a little more aggressive on this side of the court if they want to pick up some more victories .
