NHL best bets and expert picks
Thank goodness for Gabriel Vilardi and the Winnipeg Jets for making last night a very successful 2-0 evening.
Last night was a lighter one in the NHL, but tonight, we’re right back at it with 12 different games. There aren’t a ton of matchups that I completely love, but there are some fun ones to pick from.
Toronto at Buffalo (+124, 6.5)
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Buffalo Sabres are both coming off of some very tough losses. The Sabres loss most likely stung more than the Leafs, as Buffalo let up nine goals on home ice against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Leafs fell to the New York Rangers 5-2 but were in the game until late in the third period.
Mitch Marner is a guy who has been on a tear for the Leafs lately, but he was held pointless and only had one shot on goal in Toronto’s last outing. Before the last game, Marner had generated three shots on goal in three straight games, and in his last five games, he has tallied four goals with five assists.
