The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with an eight-game Sunday card and brings this Pacific Division clash from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the game starting at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Vegas enters as the favorite on the Moneyline (-162) and is at +142 when giving up 1.5 goals. The total is set at 6.5 with the over at -122. This is the second meeting between these teams with the Oilers winning in overtime on November 19, 4-3. Edmonton was the underdog at -100.

The Edmonton Oilers will be closing out a four-game road trip with the game in Vegas. The team played San Jose on Friday, but the contest was not included in this analysis. The Oilers split the first two games of the trip, losing in Los Angeles on Monday before defeating Anaheim on Wednesday, 6-2. Connor McDavid had a goal and an assist in the game, extending his road point streak to 11 straight games.

“I thought we controlled play from the start,” Edmonton coach Jay Woodcroft said. “Got contributions from lots of different people, and special teams were excellent for us tonight. That's a recipe for a good win for us.”

Klim Kostin had two goals in the contest, snapping a string of four straight games without a goal. McDavid continues to put up big numbers, recording seven points over his last five games and he leads Edmonton was 79 points in 43 contests. Jason Campbell stopped 21 of 23 shots, moving him to 10-8-1 with a 3.59 GAA. With Stuart Skinner likely going on Friday, expect Campbell to be between the pipes in this contest.

Edmonton has been dominant on the power-play, first overall at 31.0%, but the penalty killing has been lacking, 27th overall at 73.2%. The team is fifth in goals per game (3.56) and 21st in goals allowed per contest (3.35).
