Edmonton Oilers (19-15-2) vs. Seattle Kraken (18-11-4)
The Edmonton Oilers head to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, on Friday night to start their four-game regular-season series against the Seattle Kraken, and the puck drop is set for 10:00 PM ET.
The bookies expect to see a tight battle, and the Oilers open as slight -115 moneyline favorites. The Kraken are +104 home underdogs, while the totals sit at 6.5 goals.
The Edmonton Oilers are coming off Tuesday’s 2-1 victory at the Calgary Flames. It was their second win in three games and the second victory in three meetings with the Flames this season. The Oilers erased a second-period deficit thanks to Tyson Barrie’s fifth goal of the season and Connor McDavid’s 31st goal in 2022-23. Edmonton took just 22 shots toward Calgary’s goalie and yielded 47 in a return, but Stuart Skinner had a big night between the pipes.
“It’s my job to produce and I always try to get a touch on games,” McDavid said after extending his point streak to 16 games. “Just tried to get my little piece in there.”
The #Oilers defeated the Flames by a 2-1 score on the back of Tyson Barrie's 100th career goal, Connor McDavid's 31st marker of the season & an outstanding performance by goaltender Stuart Skinner. Tony & Joaquin have your summary. @McDonaldsCanada | #LetsGoOilers pic.twitter.com/5P5J5BVdb9

Stuart Skinner is now 11-9-1 with a 2.82 GAA and .916 save percentage in 2022-23. He’s guarded the cage in Edmonton’s last three contests, so Jack Campbell might get the starting call Friday in Seattle. Campbell is 8-6-1 with an awful 4.03 GAA and .876 save percentage this season.
The Oilers allow 3.39 goals per game (tied-21st in the NHL). They’ve yielded 36 power-play goals on 131 opportunities, posting the seventh-worst penalty-killing percentage in the league. Edmonton ranks fifth in the NHL in goals for (3.56 per game) and first in power-play percentage (42-for-130).
