The Edmonton Oilers face the New York Rangers with both teams on opposite ends of the standings heading into the break. The Oilers have a 13-15-1 record and are near the bottom of the Pacific Division but have won seven of their last 10 games. The Rangers have a 22-7-1 record and with three wins in a row, they have the best record in the Metropolitan Division. The Oilers are looking to make up ground in the Western Conference while the Rangers look to remain the team to beat in the Eastern Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Oilers are climbing the standings with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.34 goals per game. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have scored 24 goals and 51 assists to lead the top line but the entire offense has stepped up.
