The Edmonton Oilers (1-3-1, 3 points, 5th Pacific) are off to a very slow start and look to snap out of a two-game losing streak with a victory on Tuesday, but face a tough test when visiting the Minnesota Wild (2-2-1, T-5th Central). Edmonton was defeated by the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night and also lost Connor McDavid for up to two weeks, with an upper body injury. Minnesota has lost two straight after falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-4 on Saturday at home and have lost two of three on their home ice this season. Besides playing without McDavid, Edmonton will also be without Brady Stonehouse. Minnesota will play without Matt Boldy, Alex Goligoski and Jared Spurgeon.
