Edmonton Oilers vs. Los Angeles Kings Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-29-2023

The Edmonton Oilers face the Los Angeles Kings in Game Six of the First Round. The Oilers have a 3-2 series lead after winning back-to-back games to take over the series. The Kings are one loss away from elimination but hope to bounce back on their home ice and even up the series. The Oilers look to advance to the Second Round with a win while the Kings hope to avoid elimination and the upcoming game should be a great one.

The Oilers have taken over this series with their offense leading the way, scoring 20 goals with 11 goals in the last two games. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have scored eight goals and 10 assists to lead the top line but the entire offense has been great. Evander Kane, Zach Hyman, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins have combined for five goals and seven assists while defensemen Evan Bouchard and Darnell Nurse have added two goals and nine assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 16 goals in the series including seven goals in the last two games. Nurse, Bouchard, and Mattias Ekholm have led the top two pairings but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing the Kings to control the puck and find open shots on the net. Additionally, goaltender Stuart Skinner has struggled in the net, allowing 15 goals on 129 shots.
