Edmonton Oilers vs. Carolina Hurricanes Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-10-2022

Edmonton Oilers (8-6-0) vs. Carolina Hurricanes (8-3-1)

The 2022-23 NHL season continues Thursday, November 10, with ten games on the schedule including the interconference battle at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, so we have prepared the best Oilers vs. Hurricanes betting pick.

Edmonton and Carolina will close down their two-game regular-season series. Back in October, the Oilers outlasted the Hurricanes 6-4 as slight -115 home favorites, and the game went over a 6.5-goal total.

The Edmonton Oilers are coming off a 3-2 road victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning this past Tuesday. Playing as +150 moneyline underdogs on the second night of a back-to-back set, the Oilers managed to snap their three-game skid thanks to Jack Campbell, who posted 35 stops. Edmonton killed all of Tampa’s five power-play opportunities while going 2-for-4 with the man advantage, and Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl scored a power-play goal apiece.

The 31-year-old forward Evander Kane was cut on the left wrist and taken to the hospital. Kane, who’s already accounted for five goals and eight assists so far this season, will miss some time which is a huge blow for the Oilers’ offense.

Edmonton boasts the third-highest scoring offense in the NHL, notching 3.79 goals per game. The Oilers rank second in power-play percentage (17-for-52) and seventh in shooting percentage (11.5%). They allow 3.50 goals per contest (24th in the league), and the Oilers need more from their special team after surrendering 18 power-play goals on 61 attempts (30th). Jack Campbell should guard the cage Thursday, and the 30-year-old netminder is 6-3-0 with a 3.93 GAA and .884 save percentage this season.
