Easton Stick NFL Player Props, Odds Week 15: Predictions for Chargers vs. Raiders
Easton Stick NFL Player Props, Odds Week 15: Predictions for Chargers vs. Raidersiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

With Justin Herbert sidelined for the remainder of the season, the Los Angeles Chargers turn to their backup quarterback against the Las Vegas Raiders, and we're offering our top Easton Stick player props based on the best NFL odds.

The “Hockey Man” era has officially begun in Los Angeles (disclaimer: I have no idea if that's an actual nickname), as Easton Stick steps into the Chargers' starting quarterback role following Justin Herbert's season-ending finger surgery.

Stick took over for the injured Herbert in Week 14's lopsided loss to the Denver Broncos, completing 13 of 24 passes for 179 yards in mostly second-half action.

Now, Stick has an entire week to prepare for this matchup against a Las Vegas Raiders team that allowed the duo of Joshua Dobbs and Nick Mullens to combine for only 146 passing yards in the Minnesota Vikings' 3-0 win in Vegas.

< p class=''>Between Stick's inexperience and last week's near-shutout by the Raiders, our best sports betting apps have set low totals for the signal-caller, and we're looking to take advantage of that.

Along with our Chargers vs. Raiders predictions and TNF player props, here are our best Easton Stick NFL player prop predictions for the Chargers vs. Raiders Week 15 matchup (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Easton Stick player props

Sure, Stick didn't look very good in what was essentially his professional debut last week (he previously attempted just one pass in 2020). Most of our best sports betting sites have set his passing yards total relatively low as a result.

However, there's one book in particular that is offering a total eight yards lower than the near-consensus of 198.5.

FanDuel's total of 190.5 is the number we're attacking. DraftKings, Caesars, and bet365 are all sitting at 199.5, while Pinnacle, one of the most respected trading teams in the industry, has Stick's total set at 198.5. The only number close to FanDuel's was BetRivers', which opened at 194.5 before jumping to 197.5 within mere minutes.

Our average passing yards projection for Stick based on nine different projection mo dels is 217.05, giving us a 26-yard cushion. The low end of those projections is 183, so at least one model believes Stick will go Under this number. However, the other eight are all well above 191, and he's projected to record as many as 247 passing yards.

Based on that average projection, we're getting over 33% positive expected value by making this bet at FanDuel.

Once again, we turn our attention to FanDuel, which serves as the only one of our best sportsbooks hanging this number for Stick's total passing completions. The rest of our sites with the best sportsbook promos are sitting at 19.5.

As previously mentioned, Stick completed 13 passes in roughly one half of action in Week 14. Now, that was with the Chargers playing from behind, but L.A. has been pass-heavy all season.

Herbert attempted 456 passing attempts before suffering his season-ending injury. Meanwhile, Chargers running backs have logged only 255 rushing attempts this year.

We're getting nearly 14% positive expected value by getting this line at FanDuel. If you were to bet the next-best price – Over 19.5 at -110 via DraftKings – then you'd get only 5% +EV.

FanDuel is essentially bullying Stick with these numbers, so let's all bully them back.

As Sean Tomlinson noted in his Aidan O'Connell player props, the Raiders quarterback should clear his total of 204.5.

Across the nine projection models I used, O'Connell's average projected passing yards total is 213.64. If we add that with Stick's of 217.05, we're sitting in the 430 range. That's plenty of cushion for me to play this combined passing yards prop.

Only BetMGM is offering this market, though bet365 does often feature it, as well.

We played a similar prop last week when we took the duo of Mitch Trubisky and Bailey Zappe to clear their combined mark on Thursday Night Football, and the pair sailed Over. I have a feeling we're in for a similar result here.

The majority of our best live betting sites tend to undervalue these showdowns between backup quarterbacks – especially on prime time – because they know the public will fade them. However, when you get past the notion that these signal-callers stink (and they do), you'll find that there's actually value in their Overs.
