The Bowling Green Falcons (10-19) will host the Eastern Michigan Eagles (8-21) Tuesday in MAC play. Bowling Green blew out Eastern Michigan 91-65 on January 3, and it will be interesting to see if the Eagles can fare better on the road this time.
Eastern Michigan is 5-11 in the MAC, which has them tied for the 8th-best record in the conference with three other teams. With only two regular season games left, Tuesday's game is huge because the MAC only allows eight teams into their conference tournament. Between themselves Miami, Ohio, and Central Michigan, only one team can grab the final conference tournament position.
The Eagles look like a team that cares about getting into the MAC tournament after winning their last two games, 66-59 over Western Michigan and 75-68 over Ball State. Leading Eastern Michigan is former McDonald's All-American Emoni Bates who played at Memphis last season. Bates is second in the MAC averaging 20 ppg, and fourth making 2.6 threes per game.
