The East Carolina Pirates (2-1) and the South Florida Bulls (1-3) play on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Raymond James Stadium in a clash of AAC foes.
The Pirates were beaten by the Navy Midshipmen 23-20 in their most recent game. The Bulls’ last game was a 41-3 loss to the Louisville Cardinals. Against the Midshipmen, Holton Ahlers led the Pirates with 267 yards on 22-of-34 passing (64.7%) for two touchdowns and one interception. He also carried the ball seven times for 23 yards. Rahjai Harris carried the ball 15 times for 75 yards (5.0 yards per carry). He added one reception for nine yards. Isaiah Winstead had 11 receptions for 143 yards (13.0 per catch) and one touchdown against the Midshipmen. Gerry Bohanon threw for 62 yards for the Bulls against the Cardinals, going 9-for-17 (52.9%) with no touchdowns and two interceptions. K’wan Powell put together an eight-carry, 45-yard game (5.6 yards per attempt). Yusuf Terry recorded four catches for 38 yards (on six targets).
The Pirates are 8-point favorites in their matchup against the Bulls. The over/under is 58.5 points.
