The East Carolina Pirates will travel up to Philadelphia to take on the Temple Owls in AAC play from the Liacouras Center on ESPN+. Temple leads the all-time series, 10-4, after winning the last three meetings.
East Carolina fell to 10-9 following a home loss to South Florida. The Pirates fell victim to one of the Bulls’ best performances of the season, and lost by eleven points. ECU is scoring 69.6 points per game, while allowing 69.3 ppg, and shooting 40.9% from the field.
The Pirates enter Philly on a four-game losing streak, and they’ve got to figure things out fast. Javon Small has been their best and most consistent player early on. The 6’2 guard scored a team-high 23 points against Cincinnati, and he leads ECU in scoring (15.8) and assists (5.6), but after missing the loss to USF, his status will worth monitoring here. Brandon Johnson, a 6’8 forward, record his eighth double-double of the season versus the Bulls, and he leads ECU in rebounding at 8.9 rpg, while scoring 12.7 ppg. RJ Felton, nephew of former NBA pro Raymond, dropped 21 points in the win over SC, and he’s third on the team in scoring (11.5).
