Duquesne at Kentucky – 11/11/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Duquense Dukes will head down to Lexington and take on the Kentucky Wildcats from Rupp Arena this Thursday on the SEC Network. Kentucky won the only previous meeting back in 2016, 93-59.

Duquense kicked the season off with a blowout win over Montana on Monday. The Dukes came in as four-point favorites and blasted the Grizzlies, 91-63, behind an efficient effort. Keith Dambrot’s team shot 64.4% from the field, and 41.7% from deep, and it appears things have improved in Pittsburgh over the summer.

Duquense’s transfer portal arrivals from the MAC made an immediate impact, with Dae Dae Grant coming over from Miami (OH) and providing an electric introduction performance. Grant went 8/8, and hit all six of his threes en route to a game-high 25 points. Joe Reece broke through last season at BGSU, and he scored 12 points and grabbed five boards in debut, both good for second on the team. Freshman forward Matus Hronsky added 13 points on an efficient 83% clip off of the bench. Returning leading scorers Tre Williams and Kevin Easley Jr. man the frontcourt alongside Reese.
