The Duke Blue Devils (10-2, 6-6 ATS, 4-8 O/U) meet with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (8-4, 5-7 ATS, 6-6 O/U) in an ACC. Showdown on Tuesday evening. The Blue Devils easily pummeled Maryland-Eastern Shore in their previous action. The Demon Deacons lost a road bout to Rutgers last time out. Duke beat Wake Forest in both meetings last season.

The Duke Blue Devils enter this conference battle with confidence. They have won four consecutive games, beating quite a few strong teams in that span. Duke beat Ohio State 81-72, and was a small one-point favorite in a convincing 74-62 win against Iowa of the Big Ten earlier this month. The previous game was against a light foe, beating Maryland Eastern Shore 82-55 in a bout that had Duke marked as a 30-point favorite. Duke won their lone conference game against Boston College. They have covered in two out of their last four games.

Kyle Filipowski has collected two double-doubles in his last three performances. The freshman center has been inconsistent against strong opponents but is still learning the game. Filipowski has accrued an average of 14.8 PPG and 9.2 RPG. Jeremy Roach scored 22 points in the win against Iowa. The junior guard has shot below 40% in three out of his last four clashes and has posted an average of 13.1 PPG on 38.9% shooting on the year. Mark Mitchell has netted at least 15 points in two out of his last three games. The freshman forward enters with an average of 9.5 PPG on 51.9% shooting from the field.

The Blue Devils are ranked 14th in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and dropped two spots to 14th in this week’s version of the AP Top 25. Duke is playing a true road game for the first time all season in this one. They are scoring an average of 73.2 points, ranking them 167th. The defense has definitely been the Blue Devils' best attribute, limiting opponents to only 58.7 points, placing them 15th.
