Duke vs. Boston College Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-4-2022

The Boston College Eagles (2-6) will host the Duke Blue Devils (5-3) in an ACC matchup. This will be the first head-to-head meeting since September 19, 2020, when Boston College won 26-6 as a 3.5-point road dog.

Duke is coming off a bye week after going on the road and beating the Miami Hurricanes 45-21. The victory over Miami snapped a two-game losing streak. Duke had a narrow 336 to 327 edge in total yardage. The drastic difference came in the turnover battle as Miami committed eight turnovers and Duke committed two. Following the win, the Blue Devils are 2-2 in the ACC this season. They also have a 38-17 conference win over Virginia on their resume, along with losses to Georgia Tech 23-20 and North Carolina 38-35. Duke is 5-3 against the spread overall.

Duke ranks 47th in the country in total offense averaging 422.1 yards per game. They are 21st rushing for 205.1 yards per game, and 94th with 217 passing yards per contest. Quarterback Riley Leonard has completed 64.4% of his passes with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions. Leonard also leads in the team in rushing with 481 yards and eight touchdowns. The Blue Devils are also deep at running back, with Jordon Waters second on team with 410 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.  

 On defense, the Blue Devils are 79th allowing 392.8 yards per game overall. They are holding the opposition to 129.9 rushing yards per game which is 51st, and 105th giving up 262.9 passing yards per game.
