Ducks vs Capitals Prediction – 2/23/23

The Anaheim Ducks and Washington Capitals face off on Thursday in an NHL showdown at Capital One Arena. This is the first meeting played between the two teams since 2021.

On the other side of this matchup is the Capitals who sit with a 28-25-6 record and they have gone 14-12-3 at home. In the last game against the Detroit Red Wings, the Capitals scored one goal but the defense gave up three goals. Washington is averaging 2.97 goals while their defense is giving up 2.89 goals per game. The offense is ranked 23rd in the league while the defense is ranked 13th. Alex Ovechkin has scored 32 goals and added 22 assists this season. Ovechkin was away for the last few games, but he’s back with the team and he could play in this game.
