The Drake Bulldogs (8-2, 3-6-1 ATS, 4-6 O/U) take on the Saint Louis Billikens (7-4, 5-5 ATS, 5-5 O/U) in an inter-conference showdown on Saturday night. The Bulldogs lost a road bout against Richmond in their previous action. The Billikens were hit with a home loss against Boise State last time out.

The Drake Bulldogs are seeking its first road win. They recently two games in a row, beating UIC of the Horizon League and Nebraska-Omaha of the Summit conference but were labeled as 2.5-point favorites in a rough 82-52 road loss to Richmond in their previous game last Saturday, marking just their second defeat. Their other loss was on the road in a narrow 75-73 loss against Indiana State in their conference opener.  Drake has not covered the spread in four straight games.

Tucker DeVries has cooled down recently, sinking only 13 and nine points in his last two games respectively. The sophomore guard is a big threat, reaching the 20-point mark on six occasions this season, and is sporting an average of 19.2 PPG complemented by 5.8 RPG. Roman Penn had a miraculous 32-point effort in the loss to Indiana State. The senior guard has converted on 50% of his field goals in three out of his last four clashes and has reported an average of 10.7 PPG on 50% shooting. Sardaar Calhoun amassed 17 points in the defeat against Richmond. The senior guard has reached double-digits in two out of his last three bouts and enters with an average of 9.7 PPG.

The Bulldogs are positioned 91st in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s college basketball ratings and are 0-2 on the road. They were marked as the favorite to win the MVC in the preseason poll. Drake has scored at least 73 points in three out of its last four games and is averaging 72.8 points on the year, landing them 176th. They are conceding an average of 66.2 points, placing them 113th.
