DraftKings Sets Indiana Mobile Handle Record With 9.2 Million

DraftKings set an all-time record for monthly mobile sports wagering handle in Indiana, accepting more than $169.2 million worth of wagers in September, according to the Indiana Gaming Commission.

The mobile titan held the previous record of $166.2 million, which was established in November 2021. The third quarter of 2023 has seen a resurgence of sorts nationwide for DraftKings, which has been reporting notably higher handle in its ongoing challenge to keep up with FanDuel.

DraftKings had its best month in Indiana in terms of revenue in September, claiming more than $15.1 million while crafting an 8.9% hold. That easily toppled the former high of $13.7 million set last September, which was part of a record $51.1 million haul by operators.

The house did not come close to that number, but the nearly $41.1 million in adjusted gross revenue still ranked sixth all-time in 49 months of wagering in Indiana. The $404.1 million handle was 5.7% higher than September 2022, while the win rate of 10.2% was the seventh in double digits in the last 15 months of action.
