Dolphins 2022 NFL odds, trends: Big bets galore at sportsbooks on Miami and Tua Tagovailoa futures

It was quite a tumultuous offseason for the Miami Dolphins'off the field with the Brian Flores lawsuit and subsequent tampering penalties placed on the franchise and owner Stephen Ross for trying to lure Tom Brady and Sean Payton to Miami. It was also a positive offseason with the team trading for electric Pro Bowl receiver Tyreek Hill to give Tua Tagovailoa a game-breaking weapon in a make-or-break season for the QB. There have been a handful of big bets on the Dolphins recently at Caesars Sportsbook and BetMGM.

This week, a Caesars bettor in Tennessee put $3,000 on Tagovailoa at +7500 to win NFL MVP and then another dropped $2,000 on Tua at +6000. Tagovailoa is down to +5000 to win MVP and now has gotten the ninth-most money on that prop at Caesars, ahead of the likes of four-time winner Aaron Rodgers, 2018 winner Patrick Mahomes, Kyler Murray, Dak Prescott and Matthew Stafford.

After throwing for 2,653 yards and 16 touchdowns last year in 13 games, Tagovailoa is set at over/under 3,850.5 yards and 25.5 touchdowns in 2022. He's +3000 to lead the NFL in passing yards – only Dan Marino has done that with the Fins – and +3500 to lead in passing TDs.
