  • The Dodgers are 8-1 straight up (SU) in their last nine games.
  • Milwaukee is 3-8 SU in its last 11 games against the Dodgers.

Dodgers vs Brewers Prediction & Pick

After missing the start of the season due to injury, Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin has been solid in his limited playing time. He's pitched to a 3.38 ERA through two starts and now looks to continue getting the better of the Brewers. In two previous matchups against Milwaukee, Gonsolin is 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 0.67 WHIP.

The Brewers hope that Freddy Peralta can outpitch Gonsolin this evening. The former MLB All-Star boasts a 3-2 record and a 3.63 ERA while averaging 10.6 strikeouts per nine innings through six starts. Like his counterpart, Peralta has also pitched well against the oppositi on, banking a 1-1 record and 1.93 ERA in three previous matchups against Los Angeles.

In what should be a pitching duel, I see the Dodgers picking up the victory. Not only have they been dominant recently, but they're also 8-3 in their last 11 matchups against the Brewers. Milwaukee, on the other hand, has dropped five of its past six meetings with the NL West.

The Brewers also still have a lot to prove after snapping their six-game losing streak. While Sunday's 7-3 win was much-needed, it came against the Giants – a sub-.500 club. A matchup against the Dodgers – who are tied for the No. 3 World Series odds (+700) on FanDuel Sportsbook – will pose a more difficult challenge.

Returning home after a six-game road trip will give Milwaukee a boost, but it won't be enough. Back Los Angeles to continue its run.

Final Score Prediction:'Dodgers: 4 | Brewers: 3

Dodgers vs Brewers Best Bet

For tonight's best bet, I'm backing the total going under 8.5 runs. For starters, Gonsolin and Peralta have both been pitching well. Secondly, each of the Dodgers' last three games has gone under 8.5 runs while eight of the Brewers' previous 12 have done so.

Considering how the Under is also 6-8-1 at American Family Field this season, I just don't see a ton of offense in the cards tonight.
