The Detroit Tigers come into Tuesday night's with 91 losses and two games behind the Royals in last place in the AL Central Division. It has been a miserable season for the offensively-challenged Tigers filled with injury, disappointing free-agent signings and rookies that have struggled to reach their promise. On Monday, the Tigers did come alive and blasted the Orioles 11-0 in an easy win. On Tuesday night, in game two against the Orioles, the Tigers took their second-straight from the fading O's 3-2, thanks to five shutout innings from lefty Joey Wentz.

The Tigers showed on Monday night that they still have fight left in them with an offensive explosion. Still, on the season, the team is among the top-three worst offensive teams in baseball. The Tigers have gotten marginal production from the middle of their order and are last in home runs and last in slugging percentage in baseball. On the mound in Wednesday's finale will be young righty Matt Manning. Manning is 2-1 in his last five starts with a 3.28 ERA. He has thrown 25.2 innings and given up 23 hits in that time. Manning has not faced the Orioles this season.
