The Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels face off on Wednesday in an MLB showdown at Angel Stadium. The Angels have won the first two games of this series.
The Tigers come into this game with a 51-85 record overall and they have lost four games in a row. In two of the last four games, the Tigers have given up at least ten runs. The pitching hasn’t been great, but the Tigers offense has been the real weakness. They are giving up 3.26 runs per game which is 30th in baseball. Javier Baez has been the top offensive player hitting 12 home runs and driving in 49 RBIs.
The Angels sit with a 60-76 record overall and on Tuesday it took extra innings but they were able to secure the one-run victory on a walk-off bunt. The Angels pitching has also been an issue and they are averaging only 3.82 runs per game which is 25th in the league. Mike Trout has hit 30 home runs and driven in 60 RBIs and he hit another home run on Tuesday.
