NFL Round Table Show

The Detroit Red Wings face the Columbus Blue Jackets with both teams looking to improve from rough starts to the season. The Red Wings have an 8-5-4 record and are in the middle of the Atlantic Division while the Blue Jackets have a 6-9-1 record but have won back-to-back games. The Red Wings are looking to continue to improve in the Atlantic Division while the Blue Jackets hope to climb out of the bottom of the Metropolitan Division, making the upcoming game pivotal for both teams.

The Red Wings have looked promising this season with an offense that is scoring 3.12 goals per game including seven goals in their last game. Dylan Larkin and Dominik Kubalik have scored 15 goals and 24 assists to lead the top line but the entire offense has been great. David Perron, Lucas Raymond, and Pius Suter have combined for 16 goals and 16 assists while defensemen Filip Hronek and Olli Maatta have added four goals and 15 assists from the point to overwhelm opposing defenses.

The offense has looked great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.29 goals per game. While Hronek and Maatta have combined for 2.1 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender Ville Husso who has a .912 save percentage and a 2.69 goals-against average on 341 shots.
