The Detroit Red Wings (29-26-6-3, 30-34 PL, 30–32 O/U) meet with the Boston Bruins (49-9-2-3, 39-24 PL, 26-31 O/U) in a divisional battle on Saturday afternoon. The Red Wings posted a home win against the Blackhawks on Wednesday. The Bruins were dealt a home loss by the Oilers on Thursday. Boston posted a 5-1 home win in the lone meeting.

The Detroit Red Wings are finally in the win column. They lost 3-1 to the Flyers on Saturday and snapped an ugly six-game losing streak by rallying from a deficit to beat Chicago 4-3 on Wednesday night. The Red Wings were recently within reach of a Wildcard spot a few weeks ago but are now seven points out after going 3-7 in their last ten games due to a scoring slump.

Dylan Larkin, who signed a contract extension last week, scored his 24th goal of the season in Wednesday’s victory. The 26-year-old center has two goals in his last four games and 24 goals along with 60 points on the season. Andrew Copp is having an inconsistent season in his first year in Detroit. The 28-year-old center only has one goal in his last ten games and 34 points on the season. Mortiz Seider is heating up, posting three points in four games this month. The 2022 Calder winner has been mediocre this season, collecting 33 points and a minus-nine rating.

The Red Wings usually have Ville Husso guarding the cage. The 28-year-old goalie has been inconsistent and has registered a subpar 2.93 GAA and a .903 save % accompanied by a 25-16-6 record. Backup Magnus Hellberg has a 3.11 GAA and an .895 save %. Detroit is scoring an average of three goals per game, ranking them 22nd. They are conceding an average of 3.2 goals, placing them 19th.
