The last thing the young, rebuilding Pistons team needed was a slew of injuries to beset them early on this season. Unfortunately, the Pistons have been hit by the injury bug and the results have been predictable. Detroit has now lost nine out of their last ten games and six-straight as they try and wrap up a west coast road trip on a positive note. On Friday night in LA, the Pistons lost to the Lakers 128-121. The Pistons got off to a fast start and led by six at the break but the Lakers regrouped and pulled away in the second half. The Pistons were led by Alec Burks 23 points and Bojan Bogdanovic's 20 points as they lost both ends of two-straight games in LA against the Clippers and Lakers. It was the team's fourth straight game, all losses, without former #1 pick Cade Cunningham, who is out with a left shin injury.

“We're struggling, trying to find a win,” coach Dwane Casey said. “E verybody is going to have their opportunity, so don't count your minutes, make your minutes count.”

Injuries are the primary story for this Pistons' team right now. Along with Cunningham's absence, the team is without C Isaiah Stewart and G Cory Joseph. Adding injury to injury F Saddiq Bey turned his ankle in the fourth quarter against the Lakers and his status for Sunday is uncertain. After starting the year at a decent scoring pace, the Pistons have dropped all the way to 28th in the NBA in scoring and last in shooting percentage. Injuries, youth and poor shooting have been an awful combination for the 3-16 Pistons.
