Detroit only shot 42.6% from the floor and were out rebounded, but they turned Orlando over 18 times, to just 12 for them, and won both the three point shooting and free throw battle. New pickup Bojan Bogdanovic delivered some badly needed offense for Detroit, scoring 24 points with 6 three pointers. This type of sniper was badly needed last year. Rookie Jaden Ivey also impressed in his first game with 19 points and 3 steals, while last year's No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham did his thing with 18 points and 10 assists. Another rookie, Jalen Duran, turned some heads with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Big man Isaiah Stewart added 14 points.
