Houston was knocked off 123-114 on the road by Brooklyn in their previous contest Wednesday night, though they covered the line as a 10.5-point underdog. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Pistons own a 75-71 advantage but the Rockets have won two straight meetings. That includes a 117-114 road win in the first matchup this season back on January 28.

The Pistons fell to 16-60 on the season and are in the basement of the Central Division, 39 games behind the Bucks for the top spot. They have been eliminated from playoff contention. Against Oklahoma City, Detroit was even after the opening quarter, led by two at the half and trailed by four after three quarters. The Pistons scored six straight points late to take a 106-105 lead with 14.1 seconds left before losing on the tip-in at the buzzer by the Thunder. Detroit shot 50% from the floor, including 16 of 33 from three-point range, but turned the ball over 17 times in the loss. Jaden Ivey led the Pistons with 24 points and nine assists in the loss.

Burks (foot) last took the floor on March 6 and has no timetable to return. Stewart (shoulder) has been out since February 27 and is slated to potentially return in early April. MacGruder (foot) missed Wednesday’s game and is considered day-to-day.
