Detroit Pistons (3-31) vs. Golden State Warriors (16-17)

The NBA betting action goes on Friday, January 5, with a huge 14-game card including the interconference showdown at Chase Center in San Francisco, California, so here’s the best Pistons vs. Warriors pick.

Detroit and Golden State close down their two-game regular-season series. Back in November, the Warriors defeated the Pistons 120-109 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit and covered a 9-point spread.

The Detroit Pistons (3-31; 13-20-1 ATS) have dropped two straight contests since they put an end to a 28-game losing streak with a 129-127 victory to the Toronto Raptors on December 30. After a heavy 136-113 defeat at the Houston Rockets on New Year’s Day, the Pistons suffered a 154-148 overtime loss at the Utah Jazz last Wednesday.

The Pistons blew an eight-point fourth-quarter lead at Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Detroit made 53.3% of its field goals (19-for-41 from deep) while posting a 33/17 assist-to-turnover ratio, but it was another lousy defensive performance from the lowly Pistons. Bojan Bogdanovic led the way for Detroit with 36 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while Cade Cunningham notched 31 points and 13 assists.

The Pistons hol d the worst record in the NBA. They score 110.1 points per 100 possessions (27th in the league) while surrendering a staggering 121.1 points in return (28th). The Pistons miss Isaiah Stewart (toe) and Monte Morris (quadriceps).
